Professional Grade Hot Plates

Printmaking Hot Plate
Printmaking Hot Plate
These All Purpose Professional Grade Hot Plates are commonly used in the printmaking studio to soften hard and soft grounds being applied as a resist on copper and zinc etching plates.

Printmakers also use the heat of the hot plate to soften or loosen stiff oil based etching inks during the inking and wiping process in preparation for printing on the etching press.

Linoleum for Lino cut printmaking is often placed on a hot plate to soften the material, allowing the printmaker to more easily make incisions.
