Z*Acryl Etching System

Z*Acryl Etching System eliminates the use of organic solvents, rosins and varnishes from the etching studio. The vertical etching tank was designed by Z*Acryl to promote the use of ferric chloride. Z*Acryl hardground emulsion is a nontoxic alternative to asphaltum based grounds.

Vertical Etching Tank:
$190.00 each
1/4" thick molded polyethylene. The form-fitting lid minimizes evaporation; a built in funnel allows the tank to be easily and safely filled. Any etchant may be used, however the Z*Acryl Tank was designed to promote the use of ferric chloride. The large tank will etch two full 18" x 24" plates, yet it uses 80% less studio space than does a traditional bath-style tray.
*Note: insert no longer available

Z*Acryl Hardground Emulsion:
A water-soluble, nontoxic acrylic polymer serves as an alternative to asphaltum based grounds. Also designed so that it can be sprayed through an airbrush to create superb aquatints, replacing hazardous rosin.
(32 oz. Bottle) $23.00

Z*Acryl Stopout Resist:
Thicker formulation of Hardground Emulsion. Completely water-soluble and nontoxic.
(8 oz. Bottle) $10.00

Z*Acryl Photopolymer Film:
$59.00 each (24" x 15' roll)

Ferric Chloride:
$25.00 per gallon*
$89.00 per case of 4 gallons*
Premixed; may be used as an etching solution with copper in Z*Acryl Etching tanks. Stays active longer than nitric acid.
Will etch copper without hazardous fumes.
*A UPS hazardous material shipping fee of $25.00, will be added to the calculated shipping cost.

Hand Held Siphon Pump:
Used to transfer etchants such as ferric chloride or nitric acid. Moves 8 oz. of fluid per stroke.
$22.00 each
